There’s never been this much attention and fascination over a celebrity’s eye wear since Sarah Palin during the US Elections in 2008. Sales of Kazuo Frames specifically the Kawasaki 704 skyrocketed, thanks to Sarah Palin donning the eye wear during the campaign. Danny Gokey’s fashion eye statement has left thousands of viewers wondering and curious. “What is Danny Gokey wearing- eyeglasses?”, “Danny Gokey eyeglasses”, “Where does Danny Gokey buy his eye glasses?”, “What kind of glasses has Danny Gokey wore?”, “Danny Gokey glasses” are just few of the current hot searches for Danny Gokey all over the Internet, in Google, MSN, Yahoo and other search engines!
Even this website has received a number of comments asking the same questions! So we thought it is time to probe and dig deeper into Danny Gokey’s eyeglasses. First we asked, (this is the moment we saw him on his first TV appearance!), is Danny Gokey’s spectacles prescription or just for show? a reader Rootin4DannyJ possibly close to Danny Gokey commented, “yes they are prescription glasses!”

The D&G eyewear were quite obvious on these photos. Wherever you see a huge “D” or a big “G” and an unreadable text in the middle, we are positive, it is a Dolce & Gabana eye wear!

The rest of Danny’s eyewear are hard to distinguish from each other because they are tiny and we think Fox is intentionally trying to make it hard to decode because it could be FREE product endorsements for that particular brand. Danny also mentioned in an interview with the press about him not being able to wear some of his eyeglasses on the show because of the “logos” being obvious.
Q: Were you wearing different eyeglasses last night?
DG: Yeah, I hadn’t worn them on the show. I actually have a couple of more pairs that I want to wear, but they haven’t been approved because they have logos on them. Hopefully that works out because I love wearing different kind of glasses.

Why doesn’t anyone think it might have just been a good marketing tool for the designers to GIVE Danny some glasses to flash on the show? Maybe they were a gift. Either way, It’s his business, it’s his image and sometimes investment in ones self is the best investment one can make.

Great article! I just wanted to let all those “haters” know that there is something called INSURANCE and also Favor of God!! Danny got a GREAT deal for about 5 or 6 designer glasses for the price of ONE. That stuff don’t happen to everyone but hey! the man has gone through a lot and he well deserves it. I also wear designer glasses and I can tell you that I have NEVER paid over $20 for them!! People need to relax and quit making negative comments! Go Danny J. We love you bro!
Haven’t you people ever heard of overstock.com or eyeglasses.com….I have many pairs of glasses and haven’t paid a fortune for them. You can get a pair of glasses cheaper than shoes….

A) There is a difference between asking a simple question (“where does he get all his glasses?”, “how much does he spend on glasses each year?”, “does he buy them or does he receive them?”, “how many does he have?”, etc.) and making tasteless accusations relating to his loss 8 months ago. We’re not gonna list the site here because we don’t want to glorify it. You think it’s all right to accuse anyone of “milking” the supporters of his dead wife for designer eyewear money…??! We’re not manipulating anyone’s feelings, we wrote it because we thought that was distasteful to write of anyone. Seriously, you need to read the article again because you totally missed the point.
Don’t be naive to disregard the “haters” and cover for them. There are tons of anti-Danny Gokey people out there. You just know how to find them. They’re the ones bashing and talk trashing and manipulating others to agree with them! The things they say are really harsh for anybody to fathom.
The comment about “milking” was part of the article before you modified it. THIS is where I read about it. I don’t understand why it is no longer there. Talk about manipulating!!

18 pairs of glasses at $400 each at least, all with the same prescription (since he can switch from one to the other), that’s $7200 within the last (approx.) 5 years. Allow us to doubt that he really bought them all. Especially since we don’t see any of these designer glasses in any of his pictures on the web (and there are lots) before he was on AI. He had those boring conservative thing chrome frames in his pictures for his religious organization.
I like glasses, so I’m always interested in people who collect them. That’s my angle.
The comment about “milking”??? The context with which the forums talked about Danny’s eye wear were in a thread that was negative to begin with. “How can he afford designer eyeglasses?” was a question by an anti-danny which went on to be discussed in a ‘hateful’ manner. As a stand alone question, it sounds harmless. But when it is asked within a thread of discussion that is making fun of Danny and accusing him of things- that to us is ‘hateful.’ How can you hate someone you don’t know?!
We didn’t modify anything on this page. We don’t publish anything here and later change our mind by deleting them. We update things around but we will not delete anything that’s already been published unless it is a typo error or a grammatically incorrect sentence that somebody pointed out.

Patt, this article has been read by over two thousand people as of this writing before you did. Someone would have pointed this whole thing out and we would have had to shoot ourselves first before writing a direct statement like that against Danny. If we wanted to create a stir by writing such distasteful comment about “milking”, then this whole website defeats the purpose of supporting Danny Gokey. This is a Fan Site for Danny Gokey NOT an anti-danny site. We believe in his talent and we support him all the way to the top.
As we said, there are a lot of people who don’t see what we see in Danny and that’s fine. The difference is we would never bash and trash other American Idol contestants in such a degrading and offensive manner the way they’re doing with Danny. Search for the exact phrase (of the milking) and you’ll find the forum we’re talking about. They don’t just talk about his eye wear there but things you would never even digest if you’re someone with decency and heart. Danny was a regular guy before idol, they don’t know him. Just because he’s on TV now does NOT give them the right to accuse him of anything or write negative things about him which are baseless and clearly tasteless. That’s manipulative!

It’s NOT hateful to ask questions. It becomes hateful when your motive is to incite “hate” and add fire to an already burning wood. The questions asked in forums are ‘hateful’ in nature because the members writing on the thread ‘hate’ danny from the get go because of his back story. you can’t blame the guy for losing a wife it’s his reality and these ‘haters’ who has nothing better to do keep stirring the pot on the poor guy!
I never said YOU wrote the hateful comments. I said you were manipulative by putting in those two quotes (one neutral, one detestable) in the same sentence, along with the word “haters”. I KNOW they are from other people in other websites, and I will take your word that they were written by the same person and that he/she is a hater. You simply should not have written the neutral quote (the innocent question) inside that sentence, because as such you make it sound like that question is also mean.

Hello every1…In reading the topic of choice … Danny’s glasses ….& I can’t believe society is so caught up on his glasses. What’s next? What type of underwear or toilet ppr he uses…Life has more value then materialistic bs ….which Danny clearly demonstrats by wk’g hard 2 where he is 2day …..Come on ppl….f ur going 2b so interested in something so petty …y not chg the pettiness within urselfs… Start nit picking @ what u see in the mirror instead of wondering about the desiger of his glasses. Work in the business and there is quite a difference in frames. Just because it says it is a designer frame does not mean it is a good frame. The frames Danny wears are not cheap and are of excellent quality. And insurance does NOT pay of all of them . Some insurances only pay every 24 months on a frame. Danny has great taste and wants to look good. What I don’t understand is why Randy Jackson who has a line of frames himself did not comment on the styles that Danny wore. They sure looked better than Randy’s
