Fox25′s Doug Meehan gives us an inside look into the Idol mansion in Los Angeles, California, currently home to 13 (now 11) American Idol Season 8 contestants. They get a taste of a true celebrity life with gated, long driveways, huge, ornate doors, gilded stairways, multi level elevator, 2 swimming pools (one indoor plus additional hot tub), two lane bowling ally and 20 seat movie theater… “it’s home sweet home until they get voted off the show,” says Doug in his blog.

I am loving this season. A lot of the contestants seem to be very real people coming from a lot of heartache. The place they are staying in is beautiful. So lucky!
