Michael Johns’ CD Available Today

Today, Michael Johns’ new album, “Hold Back My Heart,” is available in digital download and in stores everywhere! As a Season 7 finalist, the Australia native and Georgia resident wowed America with his strong voice and take on songs from Queen and The Beatles. Much to most viewers’ surprise, Michael, an early frontrunner, was voted out during the Top 8 Idol Gives Back week. Proving that place doesn’t mean everything, Michael followed his run on American Idol with a charity Christmas track, he co-wrote and sang on the soundtrack to “Don’t Look Down” which is the documentary on snowboarder Shaun White. On the soundtrack is the song “Life Is Okay,” which was co-written and sung by Michael Johns and fellow Season 7 alum Brooke White. In addition, Michael performed with Kanye West on his “Glow in the Dark” tour and was a guest performer on the PBS special “Hit Man: David Foster and Friends.”

“Hold Back My Heart” includes the single “Heart On My Sleeve” which landed Michael on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts last month. This makes Michael the sixth Season 7 finalist to land on the charts. Fans and critics are praising the album for being soulful and genuine to who Michael is as an artist.
