Carrie Underwood will Co-host the CMAs with Brad Paisley Again
American Idol’s Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, will co-host the Country Music Association Awards with Brad Paisley for the second year in a row. Carrie and Brad, the 2-time reigning male and female Vocalists of the Year, are excited to cohost the 43rd Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 11. Last year, both hosts took home big awards and they each performedon the show.
On Tuesday, the Country Music Associationsaid that “both singers possess the humor and timing needed to host the three-hour show.” Carrie toured with Brad in 2006, and even recorded the duet “Oh Love” for Paisley’s album, 5th Gear. As members of the Grand Ole Opry, Carrie and Brad performed on the American Idol Season 8 Grand Ole Opry results show. During that show, Brad debuted his new single, “Then.” Carrie teamed up with Randy Travis for a duet of “I Told You So.” Read more about Carrie and Brad’s Season 8 performances, here.
Carrie is a five-time winner at the CMAs, including the Horizon Award (now called New Artist award) she picked up in 2006. On November 3rd, just a week before the 2009 CMA Awards, Carrie’s new album will drop.
In an interview with People Magazine, Carrie talked about hosting with Brad said, “I thought we did a good job. I wasn’t nervous about being asked back. But I was hoping they would ask us.”
