Happy Birthday, Michael Johns!

Its been a year and a half since Michael Johns was singing for the title of Season 7s American Idol, and although the fans of the Aussie believed he left too soon, Michael has proven that he belongs in the music industry since his time on Idol.

Soon after Season 7 ended, Michael released a charity Christmas track. He also sang and co-wrote the soundtrack to Dont Look Down, which is the documentary about snowboarder Shaun White.

This past June, Michael released his new album, Hold Back My Heart. The single Heart on My Sleeve off this album made it to #22 on the charts. Michael promoted his music by going on tour with fellow Season 7 finalist Brooke White. This fall, they traveled together around the western United States to perform their own songs and a few duets.

Starting tomorrow, Michael will tour to 10 cities on the HITMAN: a special evening David Foster and Friends tour. The second American Idol, Ruben Studdard, will be part of this tour too.
