‘American Idol’ fans see Crying Girl crying again but not singing
Seriously, "American Idol," no Crying Girl audition?
Granted, Katy Perry was hilariously entertaining as a judge — please hire her to replace Simon Cowell now — but just a passing glance at Crying Girl, well, crying again?
For the love of Sanjaya!
The Idol nation met Crying Girl — also known as Ashley Ferl – in 2007 when she hysterically wept over Sanjaya's performance of the Kinks "You Really Got Me" during Season Six.
She was only 13 then. Now she's 16, old enough to try out herself but apparently not talented enough to follow in her idol's footsteps.
It's OK, Ashley. You have 12 more years to give this a shot. Dry your tears, learn from the way your idol handled his rejection. Layer your hair.
