I hope people here understand how lucky they are to have picked someone that the producers like, instead of someone like Ricky Braddy. I mean, otherwise there wouldn’t be a fansite to go to!

Unfortunately, this competition is as much about persona as it is talent. Ricky Braddy has a great voice, but talent is only 1/3 of the ball game (the other third being marketing and exposure). A lot of people like to feel a personal connection with idols and their music. They feel a personal connection with Danny, and the fact of the matter is that is a reason why people also buy records and establish huge fan bases. The producers did a good job of marketing Danny, but I don’t think they would have done that if they didn’t think he had talent. Which he does.

I love all the glasses…its hard for me not to notice especially because I work at Lenscrafters and eyeglasses is my life. It is funny because me and my general manager are both idol addicts and wonder if he has ever worked in the optical industry or if he knows someone that does because most people dont have that many pairs of glasses…

Here are just a few songs I think Danny would be great on next week. From what I’ve read, they have to be songs from a movie or movie theme songs. Here they are:
1) Danger Zone (Top Gun)
2) Fortunate Son (I think it was a song from Forrest Gump); Unchained Melody (Ghost); Ain’t Too Proud to Beg (The Big Chill). These songs all have a very soulful sound with some powerful vocals. Danny would be great on any of these!

Probably being a little older than many of Danny’s friends and fans, I would love to hear him sing some of the songs done by David Clayton – Thomas. I’m sure most of you are asking, “who the heck is that”? Go to: bloodsweatandtears.com. A song of his will immediately play and you’ll know exactly why I think a couple of Clayton-Thomas songs might just help Danny in the American Idol competition, Smiles, Mike in Chicago!

Hi Danny! If you read this, I will be the happiest person in the world. I will never know if you do read this, but its worth a try for my dream to actually be able to talk to you! Well I just wanted to say that you inspire me so much. You have touched all our hearts with your beautiful voice and your funny personality. You have achieved your goal of bringing hope to many lives. Watching you on American Idol makes my day. If only you knew how much I want to meet you. I’am going to try to find tickets to the summer tour so I can see you live and in person! That would be the best day of my life. I would cry and possible faint if I ever spoke to you. I was at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee yesterday 5/8/09. Danny was great as usual. What a huge crowd of support, its wonderful to know Danny has so many Milwaukee fans. I am looking for one of those buttons they handed out at the gate. I was in such a rush to get near the stage I did not see they were handing them out. Does anybody have a spear one that lives in the Milwaukee Metro area? Would be great to have one!
I saw Danny at Milwaukee’s Summerfest yesterday, he was great! It was such a good feeling to see there are so many Milwaukee supporters And yes I agree with Danny, Milwaukee is a very under rated city, we have a full array of music and a lot of talent to offer. Too bad American Idol never brought there talent search to our city, but thank God Danny found his way to them!!! I am not being prejudice because I am from Milwaukee, but from day one on Idol, Danny without a doubt has the most talent and the best voice hands down. Danny, I am a 44 yr old professor, who never posted on a blog, nor have I ever voted on Americal Idol. But this year, I voted for you, and now here I am blogging! Your life has just begun, I will be buying your album and donating to your charity. You have a wonderful voice, and I can’t stop listening to it. If you read this, I just want to say that you have a whole beautiful future ahead of you. At 27, I thought my life was over, when a tragedy struck my life. I was devastated. But God takes care of the good people in the world! I got a big promotion in my career, became a big success on Wall St, and am now happily semi-retired with my wonderful husband of 13 years and a big beautiful family. The future is clear — you are an inspiration and will do GREAT THINGS for the world!

Danny, just wanted you to know how devistated we are about the elimination. I cried like a baby and now my Tuesdays are so empty, I feel like I lost a best friend and cannot do anything about it. But you can by keep making beautiful CD’s and performing somewhere we can go see you. My students, family and friends are very sad. Danny, you have a most amazing voice and this is just the beginning! Good luck on your journey and we can’t wait for your future music. AI was a great stepping stone but you have so much talent and commitment to good music that nothing will stop you now. What an awesome voice! I’ll certainly be buying your music and I’m sure Sophia is smiling down on you, cheering, and now the whole world knows of you and your Foundation. Congrats to Danny. He was awesome. Better things are yet to come. And, now all Danny fans should vote for Adam. While Kris was in Arkansas (and I am from Arkansas and know his family very well), his family and fans were spreading rumors about Danny that he was a jerk, that he was an egomaniac, that he used his personal tragedy for votes, etc. Kris fans and family were no friend to Danny. They were trying to sway voters. Kris’ fans also cheat by power voting, and their fan site is absolutely horrible to other contestants … they are a hateful bunch.

I know my blog is coming a little late ( I was out of town when it was down to final three week and didn’t have Internet access).. I just want to say that I have been a Danny Gokey fan from day one and will continue to be. I saw you develop into an exceptional artist and you only got better and better every week. You sing with such conviction and emotion, that it has brought me to tears several times (good ones). I voted multiple times for you every week, hoping this would help you get to the top spot. Keep being the wonderful very talented person that God has made you to be. I hope to hear more music from you via a CD, concert, or both.
